3. Is it a CASE Tool?
Yes.
Genesis V is an advanced example of Computer-Aided
Software Engineering. It is, of course, registered in IBM's SAA(TM)
Catalog.
That said, we prefer now not to refer
to Genesis V as a CASE tool. Typically, such tools have noticeably
failed to achieve their productivity (or accuracy) claims. As
a result, they have generally become associated with a theoretical,
academic approach able only to work in some imaginary ideal world.
Above all, Genesis V is a practical tool.
